    Yes, Black Market Music is that good. Special K (drug reference), Spite & Malice (NOT rap-metal, great chorus), Slave To The Wage (awesome video), and Hemoglobin are all stellar. There's a lot of other keepers, too, which usually forces me to listen to the entire album. Three good CD's in a row, can't ask for anything more/5().

    On third album 'Black Market Music' the take a step towards the heavier side. 'Taste In Men' was perhaps not the best choice for first single, with its groove-based chilling rock, but its a good song, the softer 'Slave To The Wage' sounds quite a bit like a standard Placebo single whilst 'Special K' is an infectious, heavy, storming punk number with an unbelievably fast chorus and some nifty guitar work/5(64).

A prime example of this is the sore thumb 'Spite & Malice' - an oddity that goes down the rap route /5(K).

    " Special K " is a single by British alternative rock band Placebo, released on 19 March on CD and 12" vinyl, taken from their third album, Black Market Music. The title is slang for Ketamine, and the song itself is supposed to explore "the link between drugs and love," and ""Special K" is uppers and the rush of falling in love.".
